Cedar Lake – Today, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District expressed disappointment over Rep. Frank Mrvan’s vote against constructing barriers along the Southern Border as part of the H.R.2, known as the “Secure the Border Act”:

“There have been over 8.5 million illegal border crossings since Joe Biden took office, including 1.8 million known gotaways who have evaded Border Patrol. This is the worst border crisis in our nation’s history, with no sign of slowing down. Frank Mrvan has backed this failed radical open-border policy at every turn. He voted against the Secure the Border Act which would’ve constructed barriers along the Southern border, helping stop the flow of illegal border crossings, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities that threaten the safety of our communities. In Congress, I won’t play political games with your safety. I’m committed to supporting real solutions to our broken immigration system,” stated Niemeyer.
